Our students work on Jira projects, leading Scrum ceremonies, and wearing both the Product Owner and the Scrum Master hats.

Scrum Product Owner Certification

Scrum Alliance

All students master the Scrum curriculum and are well prepared for the Certified Scrum Product Owner exam.

Mastery of Agile Applications

Students will get an overview of major tools used by Agile teams and be familiar with each application. Students will also create their own complex projects using industry standard web apps including Jira and Miro. Students will get hands on experience as they create entire end-to-end projects learning best practices on organizing Agile teams, creating user stories, and learning the details of the tools that Software Development teams use everyday.

Phase 1: Product Training

Core Product Management

  • Product Execution

Learn how to translate technical and business requirements into clear user stories with the Gherkins Method of writing acceptance criteria. This track gives students hand on experience, mastering Jira and Confluence. In today's market, it's not enough to just write stories and manage scrum ceremonies. We immerse our students in a Tech Deep Dive where they learn web-server architecture, API requirements, microservices, and other technical underpinnings that strenthen our Product Managers to speak to technical teams.

  • Product Strategy

Senior Product Managers must master the art of strategic product management. We teach students to become Product Leaders and Visionaries through learning how to set Product Vision, create Product Roadmaps, and engage in Release Planning, Resource Planning, Risk Mitigation, PI-Planning, Epic-to-Iteration Mapping, and giving students the depth and breadth to discuss technical dependencies from APIs to web server architecture.

  • Product Design

Students will learn Stanford's Design Thinking EDIPT framework, working on projects to create empathy maps, user personas, and identify customer journey painpoints. We arm our students with UX design chops where they'll work on wireframes and prototypes, and develop a keen eye for Product Design principles, being able to critique designs, work with UX teams on user testing and A/B testing, and develop a strong tenacity to speak confidently to discuss UX design.

Phase 2: Job Placement

The Interview Phase

  • Personal Brand

Our Personal Brand team helps students curate their entire job placement strategy from custom resumes and cover letters to creating unique Linkedin profiles. Our team specializes in SEO and OCR technology so we ensure our students profiles have the right keywords that put them on top of employer search results.

  • Career Coaching

Each student is provided a dedicated Outcomes Career Coach that keeps students motivated and driven to success. Our career coaches build an Outcomes Success Plan that is tailored to each student to foster accountability and keep students motivated as they go through the job search process. Each of our students receive 1:1 interview coaching, preparing students for upcoming interviews with mock interview questions and role play. Our seasoned coaches have helped our grads go through multiple rounds of interviews, negotiate competitive compensation packages and impressive job offers.

  • Job Placement

Our program guides students through the tech job application process, providing regular Interview Prep classes and helping students prepare for interviews. From Linkedin to job boards, our team helps students stay accountable and apply to jobs daily. Students get help all the way through to the offer negotiation stage in which our team helps to negotiate the best rate possible with prospective employers.
